When it rains, it pours right?
Today was one of those days... First, Lotus Notes wouldn't start up normally in the morning, then my laptop wouldn't connect to the LAN and wouldn't install software correctly. Things were looking up when I got an oil change for Electra and a free courteous carwash, but the day wouldn't let anything be perfect so the price for rotating my tires was raised from the last time (though it is nice to have the car picked up from work and dropped off once the work was done).
After a long work day, the short commute home arrived but it wasn't like any other day; one of the roads was closed due to construction which eventually led to a 10 minute increase in my commute with the detour and "traffic". And what happened to the 70 degree weather? The weather seemed to have forgotten about that.
The worst news of all must have been the fact that I am not eligible to apply for the one-way trip to Mars due to the fact I do not have 20/20; first having to deal with being called "four-eyes" and now this?! This is what most children must feel like when they're not tall enough to ride a roller-coaster.
It's one of those days that I should just stay home and listen to some relaxing music...
Some good news: My new electric shaver arrived! Electra drives beautifully, inside and out, in the wonderful weather. I am grateful to be as healthy as I am today. Hopefully I'll get some tennis in tonight too! It's amusing how mediocre my "bad" days are.
