Yesterday my flight was delay over a hour in order to change a taxiing light bulb.
I want to believe they had to go to a local superstore (e.g. Walmart) to purchase a bulb and that's the reason it took so long. Have you attempted to purchase a simple light bulb for a common lamp? Well, there's about 20 types of bulbs that you can choose from with numerous assortment of power levels with different lumens. Then, you have lights that are as bright as other lights with higher wattage. I didn't even mentioned the various types of white light and the shapes of the bulb; or even the 3-way bulbs or if they slowly increase in brightness or if they are 100% bright instantly.
I want to believe that bulb shopping was the explanation for the delay but sadly, it was probably just because of ineffective communication.
