Little Rhody

If you're from Rhode Island, you surely know Roger Williams. And you probably know that Roger Williams Park is in Cranston and Providence; the main attraction of the park is one of America's oldest zoos, cleverly named Roger Williams Park Zoo.

There is a much lesser known Museum of Natural History in the park and the $2 admission is so low and the $3 admission and planetarium show is definitely the price. There is much history about the park itself (much of which is ridiculously funny in the present day) and astronomy including comets. They have quite the collection of taxidermies, much larger than I expected. I never knew the planetarium even existed after living in Rhode Island for 18 so years.

Other aspects of the park: an old empty casino, botanical garden ($3 admission), paddle boats, the serene Temple of Music, and an indoor carousel.
