M___________

When you see "M___________" on an invitation response card what do you do? Well this week, I received my invitation to a great friend's wedding. It had a card with a "M___________" on it. But this time I was fully aware of the intention of this "M_________" because it was my second time seeing this. The first time was on the wedding invitation which is happening next week! If I was narcissistic and egoistical, I would have thought it was just nice of them to type out the first letter of my name for me. But being very logically, I knew that was not the case. I learned that it was the "M" for the title of your name, Mr/Ms/Mrs.

I never called myself "Mister" nor have I ever been called it regularly by anyone. It's such a odd tradition to include just a "M" on the response card. Is it because people wouldn't know what to put on that line? Would some people put the "Chicken" or "Beef" if the "M" was not there? Why am I complaining? I should be extremely satisfied since it saved me from writing an entire letter!

I have already received two wedding invitations which means I'm getting old! But since I'm in the Midwest, I'm probably a half a dozen invitations behind everyone here at my age. I'm quite excited to attend these weddings; I'm so happy for them! The last time I attended a wedding was when I was a child so I don't know what to expect! All I'm expecting is a great time! Maybe some Gangnam Style, Electric Slide, and Cupid Shuffle!
