Meatloaf

Today was the first time I cooked meatloaf (I guess the onions for decorations wasn't the best idea). I never knew it used ketchup (Heinz Ketchup, of course). But the meatloaf reminded me of public school food. In elementary school, the hardest decision everyday would be "Hot lunch" or "Cold lunch"; though I was extremely confused because the "Hot lunch" wouldn't always be a hot meal. But every kid knew to choose the "Hot lunch" because it was usually the better tasting (and less healthy) choice. This would include pizza strips:

and of course sloppy joes:
I certainly miss sloppy joes; they were so delicious (and thankfully not too sloppy). And of course as a Rhode Islander, I grew up with coffee milk during lunch. No, I don't mean chocolate milk (though I had some chocolate milk too); it's curious since I hate the taste of real coffee.
I don't know if the quality of the food went down hill or if my tastebuds matured but my opinion of public school food only got worse as time went by. While I was in elementary school, my brother would praise the lunch selection they had in middle school; without saying, I was deeply disappointing when I entered middle school. The same woe occurred while entering high school. I surely disheartened when sloppy joes near became extinct after middle school.
I want sloppy joes! Extra sloppy, of course!
