Missing Sock Problems

For several months now, I have had increasingly more trouble getting dressed properly. Not because I've gotten picky or that I haven't done laundry nearly often, but because my inventory of socks has seemingly been disappearing.

So, in my last purchase of socks, I made a huge mistake. I didn't follow my own pro life tip of having a supply of socks that are identical so you don't have to pair/match socks after doing laundry; you could just throw them into one location (maybe separate by color if you're feeling extra motivated). Instead, I unknowingly bought socks that labeled right and left... The worst thing that socks could possible have; it's particularly embarrassing when you wear it this way:

During the past months, I have been on a slow reduction of the number of socks I seemed to have and the effort of getting dressed increased in difficulty exponentially as a result.

I am convinced that someone has been slowly pranking me. I have several "Left" socks that don't correspond to respective "Right" socks. I guess you could say that I'm not all right at all. Not only that, but that my socks that are non-side-discriminated have gone missing as all. If this has been an elaborate scheme, I wouldn't be even slightly upset; I would probably be impressed by such a harmless prank that took time and patience. You don't see that much now a days.

There could be hotel rooms with a single right sock in them. And the residents of the rooms may potentially conceive the most amazing story of the sock's lonely journey to that hotel room.
