Misspoke

Steve Wilhite created the Graphic Interchange Format, or GIF, in 1987. Since then, millions of people have been arguing the correct pronunciation of "GIF"; but recently Mr. Wilhite cleared the entire conversation up by saying it is pronounced "JIF" as in "Jiffy Lube". To be honest, when I read this, I was just has surprised as the mouse above.
I was never hooked on phonics so I have an interesting view point on some things. It's like how Ted Mosby pronounces Encyclopædia. For me, I thought the song "It's a Hard Knock Life" was actually "It's a Hard Enough Life"; I wanted to get that off my chest for so long. While I'm at admitting misheard lyrics Semisonic's "Closing Time", I thought it was "I know who will want to take me home." Or TLC's "Don't go Jason Waterfalls". Even though I'm not perfect at pronunciations, please stop using "irregardless".
