My Go-To

When your starving for food, where do you go to? Immediately you think of a few places to go to. Depending on your mood, you can precisely determine where you would go.
In Rhode Island, I had a set of restaurants to go to. For a delicious and very reasonable prices, I usually went with Hon's (Pho is great. Great lunch specials!) or Minh Hai (Number 25 please). Two of my favorite restaurants. My favorite place of all restaurants may be Apsara (The one on Public Street not Hope Street). Easily some of the most delectable dishes I have ever had. The best Crab Rangoons I have ever had in my vast experience with the appetizer. It's absolutely orgasmic. Just look at the amazing shell above! And the funny thing is that I grew up in the same block as Apsara. Seeing the apartment I grew up in always brings back memories. Then, they are other great restaurants that we went to multiple times (The selection was awesome!) such as The Islander (No bias since I used to work there) and Galaxy (The one on Reservoir). Yes, most of the places are Asian restaurants, it's only natural!
There are also the fast food chains that are staples of go to places. You have Micky D's, BK, Wendy's (My least favorite), KFC, Taco Bell, and Pizza Hut. But then you have great fast food places that are not all over the country. My favorite of all time may be Walt's Roast Beef, just the best roast beef sandwiches I have ever had. And it takes it easily because it's not dry at all (The one on Reservoir is the only one to go to though). The secondary choice would usually be Spike's, which make great hot dogs.
While at UConn, the choices were much more limited since we were college students aka poor people. Popular choices included Panda Express, Wendy's, DP Dough (Calzones, a college kids best friend), and Wings Over Storrs (A necessity for those late nights). Those go-to places are probably similar with the millions of college student around this great nation.
I haven't been in Fort Wayne, IN long enough to really have go-to places. Many people enjoy 800 Degrees pizza. It is very good but quite pricey (Maybe it's the cheap college student in me). If you ever decide to come to Fort Wayne, you immediate realize their are plenty of franchise and chain restaurants. From what I've heard, it's a town where companies come to see if they have what it takes to survive in this country. So there are tons of the fast food places, my dream town right? There are decent places like Pint & Slice, Dash-In, Wu's, and Mad Anthony's Brewing Company but I don't think I have found my go-to restaurant yet (We tried so hard to find it over the summer, it seems like we're running out of options!). Only time will tell when I will find a place to fill the hole in my heart.
