My Racquet/Racket

Whether you spell it racquet or racket, it's all the same thing in the end. They can range from $10 to over $200 and that's not even for the strings sometimes. Last night after waiting a long period of time for Asians to finish using the court (They can go forever!), I broke my string on my favorite racket (K-Blade). For a noise that sounds so crisp and nice, it's a terrible thing to happen. First, it means I have to use one of my back-up racquets. Second, I'm going to have one less racket in my bag and have to pay up for the stringing.
So after work today, I went to Pine Ridge Racquet & Fitness Club to string my racket knowing they have stringer that won a speed stringing competition. They have really quick service and they said they could have my racket done the same day. Knowing that I may want to purchase a new racquet soon, I wanted to demo a few of them before I decide. And what better time to demo rackets than while waiting for my racquet to be strung? So, I took advantage of their demo program and great court time price of $15 for a half hour with a ball machine. And man, the ball machine never stops and with my nature, I never want to stop either. So I was sweating bullets, dripping in crazy amounts of sweat. I was even given more time since my racket was not done being strung! Such great service! I played my heart out; so hard that a part of my hand is bleeding inside. I wouldn't want it any other way.
I learn that I don't like light racquets that all, no control at all. And Wilson is the only way to go for me (It may be a mental thing). And the stringer even inked the Wilson "w" into my racket; I have never had that done before! I highly recommend Pine Ridge Racquet & Fitness Club!
