My Sleep
Two years ago, people told me me that I would eventually sleep more hours in the day and age will just start catching up with me (put it in the way they stated it: You're not in college anymore). They were right, I've now am more accustomed to sleeping about five hours on average, which is up from about four hours previously.
The sleeping industry is gigantic ranging from mattresses, sheets, pillow, medications, therapy, contraptions, and of course sleep trackers. With the advancement of technology, it is now easy to retrieve an application to track your sleep and even wake you up at an optimistic time based on movement; you have applications on the common mobile OSs and features on fitness devices like the fitbit/Jawbone Up. So I gave one of those applications an opportunity to impress me by giving me information on how I sleep (length, movement, sound); I gave sleepbot a trial run.
Here are some of the results:

(Based on 10 day average, stupid application average)

The "Debt" sleep number is based on the 8 hours of sleep most people like to get. As you can see, I don't really even come close to those numbers but it isn't because I don't sleep well; it is quite the contrary, I sleep amazingly. I am a boring sleeper though; I make barely any movement and the only sounds I make is when I make quick turn of my body. Maybe that's the secret to my efficient sleep. While sleepbot does have a desktop site, it's not even good; the mobile application has contains all the features on the desktop site and more (the notes, movement, and sound data isn't uploaded). Like the fitness devices, you have to set the application to sleep mode to start the monitoring which can be a pain sometimes (like falling asleep while reading a book or watching a show).
So would I recommend people get it? I didn't really find anything particularly interesting in my sleeping habits but you may. I knew coming into the trial knowing that I was a superior sleeper. I've heard many people around me complain about their unpleasant sleep; this application could help them improve that (expriment on different sleep schedules, positioning, eating schedule, etc). For those who want to hear themselves talk, this is perfect for you. The application monitor has been consistent so I can assume it is doing it correctly; I guess the only way to really find out is to sync it up with a video recorder. I am still waiting for the Basis Watch!!!!
