National "Fill in the Blank" Day

Yesterday day was National Dog Day. Today is National Just Because Day. COME ON! But in two days it's National Chop Suey Day!

This National "Fill in the Blank" Day is getting ridiculous. There seems to be a day for anything you think of. (I wonder if there is a National Fill in the Blank Day... A day you make up your own holiday.)

And it's not just word of mouth either. Card companies are following along as well.

Yeah... There's so much wrong with this picture.

First of all, who buys Halloween cards... I can understand cards with candy but that's even slightly pushing it.
Grandparents' Day, I can understand that and commend them those.

Boss's Day... Come On! I feel the word "Boss" has a negative connotation.

Sweetest Day... What does this even involve?! Is this Valentine's Day Part II? After looking at the Wikipedia page for Sweetest Day, it is a Midwestern holiday I've never heard of in my four years in Indiana. It basically sounds like Valentine's Day Part II like I presumed.

All of these "holidays" are in October... It is not even September yet.
