National Park Service

Today, National Parks around this country were fee-free because it the National Park Service turned 97. Throughout my numerous roadtrips, I found that the National Parks are easy landmarks that you can stop at see some incredible sights without much planning. Pro Tip: While some do charge a fee, others (usually the less known parks) are free all year. They make great weekend trips if you're close enough.

One of the most famous national parks has to be Yosemite. Regretfully, I can't say that I have been to the park. I am isolating Yosemite from the rest of the National Parks because of the California fires are endangering the park.

Pro Tip: If you plan on going to multiple parks within a year, get the annual pass. (Those in the military, you can get a free pass.)
