Officially Collectible

A couple weeks ago, I saw the sign shown above at GameStop while shopping at the mall (To get my steps for the day in too). It's quite entertaining that they are calling the Nintendo Gamecube "Officially Collectible". Let's be honest here, Xbox and the Playstation 2 outperformed the Gamecube.
I remember when I was in middle school reading up on Codename Dolphin, thinking it was going to be the best console ever since the Nintendo 64 was (and still is) the best console at the present time. Then, Miyamoto introduced the Gamecube to the world at E3 (When it was a major expo). I was so excited but still let down with a handle on a home console and one of the most oddly shaped controllers. And the biggest downside was the move to mini-discs which made absolutely no sense in my mind; who wanted to wait during load times like those losers who played Playstation did or the need to have memory cards to save anything? But my loyalty to Nintendo rose up and I still got the Gamecube on the release day.
To this day, many people call the console one of the worst ones ever. It is hard to imagine that anyone would say it is their favorite console of all time. But think about all the amazing games that were exclusive to the cube shaped console with the useless handle: Super Mario Sunshine, Paper Mario, Zelda Wind Waker (The endless time on the boat was terrible though), Luigi's Mansion, Pikmin, Mario Kart Double Dash (for some people, not me), Super Monkey Ball, Star Wars Rouge Leader, Harvest Moon (Not as good as the N64 version though), Metroid, and of course Super Smash Brothers Melee. And who can forget the hundreds of hours on Animal Crossing?

For those who love Animal Crossing or a great story, THIS IS A GREAT STORY.
