Trip Rebel
The first thing my parents say to me as they see me for the first time since last December is that I need to shave. My father let it go after the first mentioned but my mother is adamant about it by directing me to shave every instance she sees me. My mother tried to discourage from growing it out more by stating it makes me look old; she doesn't realize that she's providing more encouragement.
If someone observed my behavior with with no description of who I was, that person would probably think I'm a rebellious teenager. In addition to the facial hair, today I got my first tattoo! Yup, my brother and I finally did the deed that we said we were going to do three years ago. As stated in the previous blog post, I got the Gen symbol on my right upper back (my brothergot it on his left). We got it at Pino Bros. Ink in Cambridge after reading great reviews and a recommendation; Dave was awesome and he was very accommodating to all my brother's worries and concerns (Note: I had one concern, how it would affect my blood donations).
Now, to the most popular question with tattoos (besides the meaning which I answered in my previous post), did it hurt. It was my annoying than I expected; I was thinking it would be like a pen being dug into the skin really hard. I think I would describe it as a series of small hands pinching. It wasn't painful; though there were more sensitive parts than others.
What a weekend of new experiences! Hopefully there is more to come.
Blame my brother for the terrible quality in that picture. It's always great hanging out with my brother and his friends!
