Do some people have more passion than others? Do the best in their fields have more passion than "ordinary" people? Or do most people not find that ultimate passion in their lives? Maybe the passion is spread out into multiple fields for most people while others' passion are concentrated into a single specialty.
Michael Jordan was the best in basketball but retired from the game three teams. Jiro Ono is still working at the three-star sushi restaurant, Sukiyabashi Jiro, at the age of 88 years. There are countless scientists that give their entire life's work in order to increase our knowledge of the world and the universe. And we, as citizens of the world, benefit from all their life's passions.
But many of us, including me, are still searching for that "something" that will ignite the passion of my soul. Maybe life will just present it in a nice package like a birthday gift. But, if not, I'm prepared to continue to explore what this life has to offer.
