Perception

When I look at the world, I often think that most people in this world see it in a different way than I do. Because of my red-green colorblindness, I often don't see things that others can (Including the red color on a white shirt that bleed during a wash). For example, I can't see any numbers in the following (The first is for Protanopia (37) and the second is for Deuteranopia (49)):

These were taken from Wikipedia, so I hope it's not a person playing a joke on everyone, resulting in a misdiagnosis of colorblindness. So how does everyone see the world? I figure it's probably like a HDR (High dynamic range) photo (like above), with rich colors and high ranges of intensity. Probably not as dramatic as that but I probably see the world like everyone else but I just have a terrible filter.
Sometimes I think it's similar to not wearing my glasses or contacts. With my terrible vision everything is blurred. For the lucky ones who have great vision naturally, the only way I can explain it is blurry and unclear. It's like looking at life through a old tubed color TV. Without glasses/contacts, living life through my eyes would be as bad as watching tennis/golf/hockey on an old school television (Basically impossible). Thank goodness for technology; we can watch tennis on HDTV.
These things have me thinking about how other aspects of life can be seen differently by others. Is there always a correct way at looking at everything? Differ scents can be smelt by different groups of people. People have different ranges of frequencies of hearing. Are there other things that can be perceived differently on an individual basis? Emotions, pain, stimulants, stress, and the list goes on.
