Phone Talk
Tons of phone discussion:
iOS 8 was officially released today. Tons of catching up to Android is contained in this version of iOS especially extensibility and third-party keyboards. "Hey Siri" has been added to mimic "OK Google" but it only works when the phone is plugged in... Making it not very useful. But admittedly, iOS probably has the superior updating process than Android. It should be interesting to see how people deal with the upgrade; I'm what I have read/heard, the update is much larger than previous iOS version. iPhone 6/Plus to be released Friday! I hope the general public understands just how long these phones are (particularly compared to previous iPhones).
I got my hands on a Moto E. For $130 ($120 on Amazon), it's quite a value; an basic Android phone that can do the necessities without the high specification hardware. It felt great in the hand similarly to the 2013 Moto X and was decently speed for just a basic phone. I highly recommend it for people that don't use their phone for very much; though it can do internet, messaging, calling and other simple tasks very well. I even got my mother one!
The box is nice and simple too! Motorola has really step up their game!

As you may know, T-Mobile doesn't have the best service so they are offering to lend out free router (free until the 24th, otherwise a $25 down payment) to their users to use Wi-Fi calling/messaging (if your phone supports it, future smartphones on T-Mobile will all have it). Luckily, my Samsung Galaxy S4 has had Wi-Fi calling/messaging since I got it; I've been taking advantage since my purchase of the phone. I called to T-Mobile to order the router (ASUS RT-AC68U) myself and as expected, T-Mobile customer service was amazing. This is basically a free router upgrade for me! It has 802.11AC!
