Plain Simple Food

I'm a simple man. And most of the time, I like my food the plain and simple. In Denver, the New Yorker brought me to the Columbine Steak House & Lounge. You walk in, order a steak of your choice, pay, and get the steak with a salad, toast, and a potato. There not much more to that. It was delicious and quick, and wasn't even fancy in slightest. No frills. That's the type of restaurant and experience I like.

Steak is easy because you rarely need more than salt and pepper. Yesterday, I cooked a ribeye using my cast iron. Simple instructions: Preheat oven to 500, salt and pepper steak, sear the ribeye 30 seconds on each side, and put it in the oven for about 2-3 minutes on each side. Let it rest for a couple minutes and enjoy.
