Pregnancy
Pregnancy, one of the most natural processes in the wonderful thing we call life. For majority, it can be a thrilling nine months (sometimes longer with planning?); with it, there will come periods of irritation. Why the heck am I writing about pregnancy if I'm not even close to that stage of my life? Well, I have the great fortune of sitting around the vicinity of two recently pregnant co-workers.
So for the past week or so, I have heard countless congratulations from other co-workers. At first, I didn't know what people were so happily celebrating. Then, the stories of watching baby videos on YouTube began and I figured it all out. Soon after realizing this, one of the pregnant women apologized for all the baby talk I will be overhearing for the months to come in advance. It's perplexing and intriguing to see how enthusiastic the women are about all aspects of the process. Even preparing for a sonogram can be an event (Got to drink tons of water!).
While I'm not the pregnant one, I feel like I will be learning a lot about pregnancies in the upcoming months (whether I like it or not). The stories will be bombarding the office atmosphere with tips/stories from experienced folk. And these stories cannot be more natural and meaningful. Of course, these stories are only the start of countless stories these women will tell about their future children. It's riveting just knowing that their lives will be forever changed.
