Quiet Time

After 24 hours of being out with people and doing activities, being alone is a great feeling. It's not that I don't enjoy company; I certainly do appreciate and enjoy it. I wouldn't find being alone all the time very enjoyable. As humans, we may be the only social animals where we care about others. But personal time alone is great.
On most days, I write a blog post such as this one. This allows me to think in a different method than I would usually. And writing it allows me to have time alone to think and have personal time. Sometimes I write in silence to get the full effect of loneliness, sometimes I write to music that fits my mood the best. Music is often part of strategy to relax more easily. Currently, I'm listening to Jason Mraz and it's quite pleasant.
Sometimes, taking a walk outside is the best thing one can do to just relax. While the weather is decent, it's wonderful to take a walk outside at night. It great to see marvelous stars here that I couldn't see while growing up because of the light pollution. Before when gas was cheaper, I would take joy rides around town, maybe drive to a park and enjoy the silent environment. With the world rumbling and stumbling all the time, it's satisfying to slow life down and take in nature for what it is, even if it is forgetting the problems and stresses of life for a few quick moments. A beautiful sight of the moon usually instantly relaxes me.
I love ending a day with some personal time. It lets me reflect the great things I did that day and what I can look forward to in the near future. And with my sleep schedule (as you can see by the time of this post), there are usually no distractions from others. No worry about someone trying to reach me, no distractions from emails or other media sources of communication. It's truly a personal time of silence.
