Replay! Waa La Magic!
So on my way to work, I was listening to the radio just like any ordinary day. Then, Magic by Future feat. (**Insert clever joke about feat being in every song) T.I. came. Unknowingly, the car ride will change my life for the next few weeks if not months. This song has gotten into my head like white on rice. I listened to it while at work all day! And I mean ALL day! It's great work music! (Especially on a Friday! But every Friday is great!)
It's not my first time this has happened and definitely will not be my last. Some notable songs to get stuck in my head "Replay" By IYAZ (A month on "replay", with probably a record of about 14 hours of playtime in a day), "Loving You No More" by Dirty Money feat. Drake (Probably 3 months), "Right Above It" by Lil' Wayne (Still gets me hyped!). Come to think of it, I probably listened to "The Lazy Song" by Bruno Mars on repeat for an entire day due to a semester changing event... Then, I got my P90x on! I never got to meet that really nice girl though...
I take addiction to songs to a whole different level. You may think I listen to it every half hour or so. BUT NO! I have it on repeat on the one song I'm crazy about. I don't switch the song up. I just feed the addiction as much as I can. I guess I should be thankful I've never been addicted to anything too bad. Fast Food is probably my worst addiction but it's slowly decreasing.
Most people at UConn don't know this, but for 3 whole months I listened to "Loving You No More" everywhere. Whenever I had my headphones in, I was listening to it. This includes riding my scooter across campus, the countless hours waiting or at games, and even in the bathroom! Yeah, it was an addiction like no other. It was probably worse than my current addiction with bowling and Magic together; I will probably never get to that level ever again. It was a secret addiction that I haven't admitted until recently and it feels so good!
Then, there is the obsession to Tha Carter III. It's like a ex that never goes away but she's only affects me positively. The album is probably the most played album in my collection (Next to Kid CuDi's Man on the Moon and Kanye's College Dropout). And once I pop, I can't stop! All the songs are so good and put me in a great mind set. I'm sure I listen to entire album at least once every other week. It's just a animal that just won't go away.
P.S. I listened to Magic while writing this post, of course. At least it's reminding me to do my taxes! (I wish I had an accountant) Oh the joys of being an optimist! Waaa La Magic!
