Rib Fest
Summer is officially here and Fort Wayne's various festivals are underway. Rib Fest is this week and probably my favorite of them all; it is solely because I think it has the best food selection. This year it was particularly crowded but luckily the temperature were in the low 80s. There is no feeling like being shoulder to shoulder and front to back with other people in the community! Crowd weaving is probably one of my favorite activities; it's like a race in an ever-changing maze.
With multiple choices to wait in line for and no distinctions to make a preference for, we chose one from Fort Worth, TX and even thought it was great since the line was short. Turns out, taking the "easy" way out was the wrong one; it was the slowest line of them all. Working at a Chinese restaurant as a packer, I was extremely frustrated with the worker's pace; I was so close to jumping over the table and preparing the meal in order to get my food faster. At least I got a chance to snap a couple photos:

I also had the tremendous opportunity to met some new people and it exposed just how little South American food I have ever had in my life. Hopefully that'll change soon!
