Routine
After the first time, you may often get stuck in a routine. People tend to get used to things and appreciate things less. It becomes second nature and take advantage of having experienced it before.
We often forget that our confidence was built on our experiences since it comes so naturally. We would often reminded of this when we see someone else experience it for the first time. The activity in itself probably doesn't become any less spectacular. You just have to go through the experience with a different mindset. You see it from multiple perspectives ranging from the newbies and the well-experienced.
It's odd that people start to lose enthusiasm just because it's not something new and exciting. Often, it's often socially discouraged to be energetic and peppy. This can reduce the experience for others especially first-timers.
I have pledged to change how I go through routines more regularly. Just because I've "been there and done that", doesn't mean I should act like I'm going through the motions; so much of the meaning is lost. For example, I'll try to assist first-timers by providing advice for a better experience (using my own).
What do you think about how people go through routines?
