Service Up!

As I play a set or two a week in tennis, there is one aspect of the game that stands out from the rest. That part of the game is, of course, is my serve and it doesn't stand above the rest of my game (quite the opposite).
Having a terrible serve is like having hair in the morning that just doesn't want to behave; it's just hard to have a good match/day with it. Being extremely optimistic, it may be the single skill in tennis that you can improve on without a hitting partner, wall, or ball machine; all I need is the motivation, a few balls, and a tennis court. This afternoon, I had the pleasure of serving up balls for a hour or so. Improvement is probably the best way to describe; though, that's probably being too upbeat.
And every year, my backhand starts off to a excellent start then its performance declines from there. I feel my ground strokes. There's no better feeling than being on a tennis court (whether that be laying on the court, hustling on the court, or just skipping to the service line).
I can't wait the next time I play!
