Having something to be excited about daily is awesome. And I think I just increased my daily excitement. I am now more amped up about my showers. Yes, showering. I recently purchased a portable speaker for my bathroom. I have been putting this purchase off for months now, and it was about time. I brought a portable iHome that is rechargeable. I am quite pleased with the quality and the volume of the speaker. And surprisingly the bass is very good for its price and size. I also brought this speaker so I could bring it anywhere I desired to without any hassle.
This may have been one of the most influential purchases I have brought since my bowling shoes. While my bowling shoes have paid for themselves, my bathroom speakers adds something cannot be monetarily quantified. It brings a extra magnificent feeling to showering. For me personally, the music I usually play will get me in a happy and more energized mood (College Dropout by Kanye West has been hitting the spot). It is not uncommon for me to sing and dance in the shower either. But sometimes I like something slower and relaxing. For example, some Bon Iver or some jazz. Overall, music has increased my satisfaction of my daily showers (Probably increased the time in the shower too).
The music doesn't only help me through showers but my entire routine in the bathroom. Yes, everything including dancing while brushing my teeth. It makes brushing for two minutes much more reasonable (This is not even mentioning not minding to floss). Since most songs are about 3 minutes long, it's a pretty good time management tool without purposely looking at the time. Then, the music is loud enough to hear when getting dress in my room. So the purchase has helped my entire morning and night routine much more enjoyable. I would highly recommend people get speakers or such in their bathrooms! It could change your life!
PS When I get a house, the bathroom will have a speaker system, where it will have a switch next to the light and vent to turn on music. It's going to be awesome!
