Single on 2/14

Google states that February 14th is Valentine's Day, or Feast of Saint Valentine. February 14th is also known as Singles Awareness Day! Having over 20 years of experience, I would like to share some advice on what to do on Valentine's Day for those who don't have someone special to celebrate the day with.
1. Pretend the day is just like any other day where people are bringing in bears and flowers for decoration.
2. Go to a restaurant for dinner by yourself; there probably won't be a wait for just one. And if you feel adventurous, you could pretend the restaurant is setup for speed dating and the turn ends when someone goes to the bathroom. (Maybe the conversation should about how to find love)

3. Go to a club! Since most couples most likely be spending a romantic night with each other (assuming you didn't ruin their dinner), you could try a club to have tons of fun with the loud music so conversation is almost impossible. You could use/improve your terrible dance moves at the same time! Just pretend that you're Usher!

4. If going public isn't your thing on Valentine's Day, you could stay home all night. There is nothing better than making ramen and watching a romantic movie all alone like Transformers (Preferably Revenge of the Fallen, the second one. The title fits perfectly for Valentine's Day!).
5. Use the entire day to prepare for the huge sales on Valentine's Day items. For the short term, you can buy all the chocolate and candy your heart desires! And for the long term, you can buy bears and cards (and maybe even the sweets) for years ahead! A penny saved is a penny earned, right?

6. Just cry all your sorrows/loneliness away.
7. Need to talk to someone but everyone you know has a Valentine's date? Well with the technology that we have now, you don't have to go out and talk to someone. You could have a conversation with someone with a beautiful voice using a phone talk line. If verbal conversation isn't your thing, you can have a text conversation with someone online with beautiful typing skills. And if you don't have the Internet, you could text random numbers until someone holds a stable conversation.

8. Watch the new Die Hard movie. It's Rated-R so the Mr. McClane will presumably say the entire catchphrase in this movie. This may be the most romantic thing you could do on Valentine's Day.

9. Pretend to have a significant other or secret admirer for the day and send yourself flowers and chocolate and to outdo anyone else by buying a giant stuffed bear. But if you want to really want all your peers envious of you and your imaginary lover, buy a brand new car (maybe a Tesla Model S), wrap it with a huge bow, and act surprised in front of a huge crowd of people!
10. Most importantly of all, tell all the people you love and care that you, well, that you love and care for them. It's not everyday you have a valid excuse to! (not that you really need one)
But as I said yesterday, tomorrow should be exciting for me! It's a day I've been waiting for a long period of time! Today was definitely a great day too; it was so warm (43 degrees) that I was able to play tennis! It's definitely been a great Valentine's Day Eve!
Oh yeah, no matter if you're single or not, you should read this blog everyday. And if you haven't read all of them, you should go back to the first post and catch up!
