Snow Health

Today was the second time sharing a bathroom may have routed my regular routine. At exactly 630, Scott entered the bathroom and with my kin sense of hearing I recognized it. So I ran to the bathroom before anything could be started and knocked to get my toothbrush and toothpaste (The essentials for preparing for work).
Then I expected Electa to be covered by a few inches of snow but what I saw when I stepped out of my apartment was not that. It was about a full foot of snow! It was one of the rare instances where the meteorologists underestimated. I started to shovel to my car but it was too early for that so I just walked through it. And it was the first time in Fort Wayne I had to use a shovel too; I almost avoided it for an entire winter! Then I had to use my dinky ice scraper with brush to clear off my car. I pretend I'm a giant windshield wiper while doing it; full extentions of my right arm and nice long wipes. I forgot to put my windshield wipers up too... Rookie mistake.
Then it was to driving. I expected total Armageddon out of the roads of Fort Wayne since the half of each of snow a few weeks ago gave them trouble. But thankfully they proved me incorrectly as I didn't see any accidents. There were some dangerously slow drivers though. Remember ridiculously slow drivers can be as dangerous as fast ones. I admit, I was probably driving too quickly than what would have been considered safe but I have an excuse since Electra hovers on the snow!
Two tips for the winter since it may have just started:
1. Walk like a penguin to avoid slipping. I'm pretty sure my eighth grade social studies teacher was constantly in a winter mindset.
2. Use paths already made by other cars. This is the key to success for driving in the snow. Too many people try to stay in their lane while it's occupied by snow.
Onto other news, I had my health screening today. And what better time to do it on the most wintery of days? This time year would be the best time of health screenings for me since it's when my body is in its worst shape due to the lack of warmth and sunlight. Well, you may not have known from my athletic body that I was diagnosed pre-hypertensive last year; it was probably a result from having fast food almost daily. And I thought it was a vicious cycle of high blood pressure; I worried about having high blood pressure and that caused even more stress for my blood pressure to increase and it just snowballed from there. So how did my health screening go? It went surprisingly well, I was diagnosed with a healthy blood pressure! Overall, I'm healthier than I was a year prior. I almost hit all the optimal numbers! I gained about five pounds which was one if my goals. I even gained an inch in height! Though, I'm borderline pre-hypertensive; always something to improve on!
So if you haven't checked on your health in a long time, you should. Everyone is getting older (some faster than others) and maintenance is important just as it is for cars. You wouldn't go years without an oil change right? If I didn't have my health checked last year, I wouldn't have known I was extremely close to having stage 1 hypertension.
Here are my numbers (Yeah, I'm being very transparent!):

It's crazy how beautiful snow can be and how fast it can be turned ugly.
