Stop Bitstrips
Remember in first grade where your teacher would ask you to draw something you did today? And just maybe, they would ask you to write a sentence about it too. Well, if you have been on Facebook lately, you would see these Bitstrips comics that are basically doing just that. But instead of drawing, you create your own avatar and put it in a screen with different environments. The service has been around since at least 2008 but is catching mainstream just recently.
It's absurd how this has become somewhat of an addiction for those who use it. Users don't even have to come up with their own "activities" for the comic but the majority of those I've seen are about uninteresting common events like waking up to go to work. There are tons of up side to this service especially for children education. But to create meaningless one frame comic is just careless (especially for adults). I can't believe something may be less unproductive than majority of the memes on the Internet (at least some of those are clever and humorous).
