Stranded Time
How many instances do you think you check the time throughout a day?

It's probably a high number. Sometimes I even check the time twice within a minute just to make sure the time isn't fooling me. I have the time displayed twice on my home and unlock screens.
Imagine going through a day without having the ability of checking time. It would drive me insane. It drives me crazy when I wake up and there isn't a clock readily available to read. I wouldn't even know how my body would respond to a day without knowing what time it. I wouldn't be able to regulate my eating or sleeping at all. I have a tough time judging and flowing with time as it is. Though, maybe we've been too accustomed and dependent on clocks.
When asked "If you could bring # of items on a stranded island, what would you bring?", I'm surprised by the 99% of the responses. People commonly answer with cell phones (because that will work with no cell towers), a favorite book (because that will last a long time), and food/water. But the question I ask what type of island is it (maybe it's in the arctic or populated with pirates). It's really odd how most people equate being stranded on an island to an vacation. The first thing I would want with me on a stranded island is a watch because that'll keep me sane. Other items would include a really good friend, a water purifier, and a weapon that may be useful to hunt for food.
