Successful Holiday Trip
While my streak of bad luck in air travel continues (flights been delayed, would miss connecting flights, terrible customer service), I must say I had quite a good time in Rhode Island/Connecticut. I am reminded of the great family and friends I have surrounding me. I got to see my best friend from Kindergarten, great friends from middle/high school, and many of my nerdy engineering friends from college. Old traditions were fulfilled but hopefully new traditions were started (hopefully losing in Munchkin/trivia is one of them). To those who contributed to such an satisfying trip, thank you.
Last night, I strangely felt comfort in something that would usually be depicted as something scary in a horror movie. The door to my parents' room squeaks/creaks. Somehow, that sound is extremely comforting; probably since it signifies that my parents are up and about particular when I need their support. I know, that was really random.
Hopefully, I will fly back to Fort Wayne without delay. I really miss what's waiting for me there.
