Summer's End?!
Summer ended last week?! When did this occur and how did this not come up in any of my conversations with people? Since I have just found out this out, I will spend some time to reflect upon my past summer.
This summer was very different from any other one in the past. It was an emotional beginning, having to leave the extravagant life of college after four tremendous years. It was great spending tons of time with my huskymates and great friends during the last few weeks. Not much sleep but it was legen...wait for it... dary, legendary.
Then, probably the most substantial move of my life so far occurred. I moved to Indiana (Colts Country!) without knowing a single person, seeking to try something new. It was quite an adventure seeking an apartment, finding stuff for my apartment, and buying a car. It was such a hectic time. Fortunately, everything turned out to be great. I have a nice apartment and of course Electra!
I've met some great people during this adventure. But interns will come and go, sadly. I had a great time while they were here, such a lively (and diverse...) group of kids. Interns taught me a lot including homemade bread doesn't even compare to store bought bread (There's also too many types of flour), IU stands for Illinois University (Doesn't have an engineering school?!), Texas people aren't that bad (Bigger isn't always better!), and Minnesota is probably the home of 99.9% of large corporations (Minnesota can't be as awesome as it sounds). Of course, I've also met some great full timers, we'll definitely have some great moments to remember in the venture we call life.
I am still trying to get comfortable and a better feel for this environment but I will look forward to what this town and surroundings have in store for me. I know something awesome is going to happen tomorrow, as Amazon will be announcing their tablet (Let's hope Netflix too!).
