Technology Mash Up
OnePlus will be moving away from Cyanogen OS and moving onto their own Android OS, OxygenOS. Cyanogen has moved on by having Microsoft becoming a minority investor; I guess Microsoft isn't happy enough with the current money coming from Android handset.
Qualcomm has lost the use of their Snapdragon processor in a "large customer's flagship device"; this device is presumed to be the Samsung Galaxy S6. This won't be the first time Samsung uses their own processor in the Galaxy line, but it will be the first instance where there isn't a Galaxy version using a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor.
The mobile industry is changing. I may have been premature in predicting Intel's raise in mobile, but this year may be where Intel hits the US market (it's already in the Asian market). Google may become a mobile service provider, Nova, as a MVNO (mobile virtual network operator). It'll be interesting to see Amazon's plan for the Fire Phone; I think they need Google Apps to gain any major traction. It's going to be a interesting February/March with major phone makers releasing their flagship devices (assuming all 64-bit).
