Teddy

Today I watched the long-awaited movie, Ted. My main reason is that I wanted my childhood wish, for my teddy bears (Polar Bear is shown above saying Hi to you!) to come alive, to come true but this may be the best substitution. I still remember playing with my stuffed animals with my siblings on the weekends at a young age very clearly. It was crazy fun! But the movie was a disappointment, in my opinion. I never imagined what how I would grow up with my bears; I certainly hope it wouldn't have anything similar to the movie (well besides ending up with gorgeous Mila Kunis).
It was not a great movie though. It's probably everything you can expect from a comedy movie. In this case, it's sexual, stupid, and violent humor for most of the movie. Since Seth MacFarlane directed the movie, it's very similar to the humor in Family Guy. And it's crazy weird how similar it is to Family Guy, it just has a Macfarlane aura to it. I tend to do the head-bob movement during dull movies; when I got some shuteye time in this movie, at times I thought I was listening to Family Guy with the voice of Seth MacFarlane and Mila Kunis. Except this time, Seth isn't making fun of Mila Kunis' character. Overall, the movie had a few good laughs but it did not live up to my hype.
The funny thing about my experience with this movie wasn't the movie itself but while buying the ticket to the movie. I came into the movie as a younger me to see what it could have been growing up with a real life teddy bear. I tell the ticket sales-woman (probably in high school still) the time and movie and then it happened... She asked for my ID... I know the movie is crude and all but the minimum age is only 17! I don't think it was meant to be a complement. I know Asians' ages are difficult to judge... But honestly, how old did she think I was?! How old do you think I am?! (I included a picture of how I looked like today below for reference)
