Here in Austin, Texas. The live music capital of the world where keeping Austin weird is their motto (Thank goodness it's not YOLO). But the awkward position I put myself when visiting a strange place is: Do I visit all the tourist attractions or do I try to fit in and do as the locals do (When in Rome do as the Romans do)? I tend to side with the locals though.
It's interesting how food is almost always the first recommendation when you ask someone what to do around. Yesterday I had some Texas BBQ and will probably get some for lunch too. But I was have to get some of this "Tex-Mex" before I head back to the Fort though. Honestly, it took a few mentions of Tex-Mex to understand it is Texas Mexican food and not slightly relating to Chex-Mix.
And another thing I learn: The Mopac Expressway was named after the Missouri Pacific Railroad
