Thanksgiving

What a great day I had. One of the most fun days I've had in a really long time. It began much earlier than I would have like but I started the day with a episode of Cheers (Almost a perfect start). Then off to Quincy, MA for some delicious dim sum with tons of my family. Big enough to warrant two large tables. What a variety of foods that can be had at dim sum, it was awesome. It was great to see my cousins, they've grown up so much since last seeing them. The bundles of energy they had was ridiculous, it lasted all day. I learned today, no matter how much stronger you are, kids will find a way to get to you. Whether pinching (They hurt!), hair pulling whether on the head or arm, or jumping on you whenever they get the opportunity.
We spent some time watching my brother play Zelda, but it isn't as boring as you would think. The little ones had much interest in the game and commented on what should be done. Then, taking them to see my sister's dog was quite the experience too. It was odd driving so many little ones in a mini-van. Did I vision my future? Probably not. But they loved Dimple, the dog. The tricks she could do and such. Then, watching two boys chase around playing tag and pretending to have one leg by putting two feet in on slipper was pretty entertaining. The food was really good too.
Then, we went back home for some hot pot. I didn't enjoy it very much as a child, but I do quite adore the meal now a days. Then, the younger ones played Mario Party which was hilarious to watch, and it came down to the very end with the bonus stars. Then, I wrecked them in Mario Kart. Using the Wiimote to steer was much harder than I expect, but I still won!
Overall, today was one of the most fun days I've had in a long time. Getting to see my family is always great especially the ones I don't get to see very often. It's always great to hear how the kids look like other family members when they were children. It was great to have people say I was cuter than my brother as a toddler and how I'm taller than him now. There was also much commentary about my brother and my facial hair, most negative but who cares! What an amazing day!
