That Moment...

The other day, I was driving down to the local tennis court for practice. I saw a Fort Wayne police mobile make a U-turn and make eye contact with him; so as usual, everyone slows down to the speed limit. As a result, the pack of cars stop at a red light. After waiting unnecessarily long at the intersection (happens all too often in this city), the car in front of me accelerated fast then slowed down just below speed limit (everyone here seems to do that). I accelerate at smooth rate and eventually catch up to the car in front of me but I can't make out the driver because the rear window is basically as dark as G-15 Ray-Ban lenses. I look at the right side mirror and I see the police officer merge directly behind me. At this point, I was confident that he didn't have a reason to pull me over; just as I thought this, I see his red and blue lights start flashing in my rear view mirror...
This was the first time I've felt this as a driver. I was one of the worst feelings I've ever had and I didn't even break the law (I still have seven days to renew my registration!). So I merge to the right lane so I could go to the breakdown line because I despise people who pull over in a traffic lane (I refuse to hate myself). Expecting the cop to follow suit, he speeds up can pulls over the car that was in front of me; it was probably because the dark tint is illegal (as it is in most states).
After that, I was relieved to have "escaped" my first traffic ticket. As I continue driving with my heart beating faster than usual, a driver in a black Mazda 3 started yelling at me, "You got so lucky!". I followed by telling him it was mostly likely because of his tints but he refused to believe me.
I wasn't surprised to see this license plate in Indiana:

It's about time to renew my car's registration before I do get pulled over...
