That our flag was still there. #TeamUSA

With the Olympics underway for about a week, we have seen tons of swimming and gymnastics. And after all the hard and grueling competition from various countries (mainly China), Team USA has dominated the Olympics with close competition from China. As I'm writing right now, Team USA has 23 gold medals while China has 21 (But China currently leads the total medal count by one.
While the events are the most fun to watch, I may have a bigger smile during the celebrations. The Olympic athletes show how much it means to them to represent their country in inspirational way. This morning, Serena Williams won the gold medal for Team USA and it was difficult for her to express how much it meant to her (even after winning multiple grand slams). You could easily see how proud she was to represent the United States of America.
My favorite aspect of the Olympics is definitely the medal ceremonies. While it is extra special when it's an American on top of the podium, it's interesting to hear the national anthem of other countries too. It's amazing to see how proud people are in their countries.
Blooper: During the national anthem for the USA for Serena Williams' medal ceremony, the wind at Centre Court at Wimbledon blew the American Flag off the risers. Ironic because it blew away when the lyrics came to:
"And the rocket's red glare, the bombs bursting in air,
Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there."
