Things Engineers Like: Drinking

Well it's Finals time for students all over the country. This of course means tons of last minute studying (for some, first time learning the material) and many all-nighters. So what keeps the students awake and motivated? Well, it must be the love for learning and extreme interest in all their courses! If not that, I don't really know...
But like the working crowd, the college kids will consume excessive amounts of caffeine. In majority of the cases, the drink of choice would be coffee (America runs on Dunkin! For the people with money to waste, $7 Geisha Starbucks). For others, caffeine will come from carbonated soft-drinks; some will drink it out of an one-liter bottle. I love hearing the sound of a can of soda (Mountain Dew) opening at 8 am in the morning. I don't think I can go through a day of work without hearing something like "I need my coffee to wake up." I'm like an endangered species in the office; I don't drink anything but water at work. So, what happened to the whole "Talk at the water cooler"?! It's probably dying like the glaciers on Mount Grinnell.
Maybe the drive to finish comes from being able to celebrate a successful (or surviving) final exams. In most occasions this includes drinking too but undoubtedly, it come in a different types of liquids. Of course, it would be something like fruit juice and Kool-Aid... I remember my college days where thousands of students were ready for the end of finals in order to grab a drink and hang out without any worries. What better way to relax and have pure fun than playing some competitive games and dancing like a fool with friends?
