Things Engineers Like: Naps

Just like how the Internet loves cute cats, engineers love their naps. With the workload and energy consuming activities, naps are crucial to one's schedule. Even the best of us can't survive an average of three hours without taking naps; of course I would know that the best. I'm sure most engineers have been saved by a quick nap right before a presentation or exam after working for insanely long hours. I have even had friend who napped during an exam in order to get his mind straight; it must have worked since he passed the class with a decent (and surprising) grade.
At UConn, you could find engineers napping all over the place; it doesn't even have to be finals week. I know I've napped between classes in ITE. I think it just became a common thing to do; it got to the point where I didn't even notice that people were napping in public (Remember to take your shoes off? Do those rules still apply?). I really enjoy when people wake up from their naps and are surprised by where they are. I will admit I have power napped for 10 minutes and thought a few hours had passed and was scared I missed my exam. That was probably a sight to see!
There is nothing better feeling than taking a nap after a week's work on a Friday afternoon. By that time, I'm wiped out and basically pass out instantly. And the best part is I'm recharged (Oh how I miss Recharge Wednesdays) for the night ahead after the nap! I can't say how many nights have been saved by a quick nap but I know the number is more than twenty!
