Things Engineers Like: Sudoku

You see in the New York Times, The Daily Campus (The UConn newspaper), magazines, video games, online, and other medias. Sudoku have become extremely popular. Working at Raytheon, I even see many engineers that have a Sudoku calendar so they have one to do everyday. And during Engineering Week, there was a daily Sudoku for the entire site to do including Samurai Sudoku (Like the one shown above. I dare you to complete it too). That was one great week!
I remember the day I was introduced to Sudoku in my Sophomore year in high school; I was truly intrigued and thought they were extremely simple (mainly because I got a few easy ones). Then, I received a puzzle with the difficulty of "evil"; that's when I became obsessed. But I'm not the only one, I have many engineering friends that love doing these number puzzles. One comes to mind though, chances were very good that you saw him doing Sudoku on his computer (and if not, it was probably DOTA).
There are multiple strategy to complete this numeric squares. I will not reveal my secrets though. All I will say is that I do not use "pencil" markings 90% of the time; I find this makes it better challenge. What a great way to warm up your brain and help maintain its health!
