Things Engineers Like: Talking About Sports

With sports having outrageous opportunities for stats (Like Bulgaria was the only soccer team in the 1994 World Cup in which all 11 players' last names ended with the letters "OV."), engineers are naturally intrigued by sports. And with brains to play with numbers, people can make connections from sporting event to sporting event with no end in slight. But to be honest, I just to write about sports and didn't want to disappoint any of my readers that expected a Things Engineers Like since I skipped a couple weeks (Maybe just one). I promise one will come next week.
After a grueling couple of days of Kickball, my right leg just didn't feel right and was quite painful as times (Probably because I didn't stretch and I was in a car for over 16 hours just couple days before). Being careful, I just listened to my wonderful body. And it didn't want to do anything for several days. I woke up today and the magic of Mondays did it again! It made me feel amazing and ready to run! But as life goes, I had to work... 9 hours later and BAM! I'm out and running like a happy dog, free as a bird!
What is more amazing about this marvelous Monday is the U.S. Open Men's Final is on! It was definitely a pleasant surprise since it slipped my mind. It seemed like a ton of things happened since I was there for the first day. As I write this Murray won an enduring 1.5 hour first set and the second set after a failed comeback from Novak.
Tonight is the return of Monday Night Football! And as you can see from the ridiculous graph above, I'm predicted to win with A.J. Green and Sebastian Janikowski left to makeup for the 14 point difference. I will embarrassingly post my fantasy football scoreboard for this week so far... As you can see, my bench has scored 20 more points than my starters so far... My opponent did a good job though.
