Toronto's End.
Today is the last full day in Toronto for me. Early this morning, I decided to avoid most of the city and the touristy stuff and head to Toronto Island Park which is only a quick $7 ferry trip away. Visitors of the island walk or ride bicycles around the island; I chose the walking route as to stay with tradition of my entire trip. The majority of the the trip has been on foot or in Electra (excludes subway trip to Chinatown and a ride from my brother to the tattoo parlor.)
It is a beautiful set of islands that includes Olympic Island, Franklin the Turtle Park, a clothing optional beach, plenty of picnic areas, sporting areas including tennis, and even an amusement park. I'm currently writing this blog post on a rock on Ward's Island Beach (the island furthest east); as shown below. So far so not unlucky! On the contrary, I got a great view of the skyline.
Another difference in Canada is the way credit cards are charged. In the US, the seller does everything, where in Canada sometimes you are handed the portable credit card machine and you are required input; I like this system, though it is less trusting.
I also fed my sushi craving today leading to even more expensive meal than yesterday but it was definitely worth every Canadian penny.
