Just as it was unexpected to see Notre Dame football make their way to the national title game, I had many unexpected encounters on my trip. Some included seeing some tremendous people whom I haven't spoken to in years (it makes me wonder why I stopped talking to them in the first place). Others surprises came from various changes in scenery. Trips, like life, never go as planned.
I always seem to forget to do things on trips. I always miss a few people to visit, certain restaurants to eat at, and other things. But there never seems to be enough time to do everything and see everyone due to schedule constraints. Planning for a group to meet up is hard enough but with engineers spanning three states, it's virtually impossible!
While I didn't do everything I wanted or see everyone I wanted to see, I really enjoyed the unanticipated events that life brought upon me!
Well it's time for me to head to bed since I have a bus to catch in four hours. Then it's back to Fort Wayne with the New Yorker and TomTom!
