Trip to Fort Wayne: Running and More
What an another eventful day flying with American Airlines, as usual. There was no way that I was going to have a delay free round trip. So my first flight was delayed about an hour with an already short layover in Chicago... With less than 20 minutes till the expected take off time of my flight back to the Fort, I booked it to the gate, which of course was at the opposite of the airport terminal (that American uses). I barely made it! It certainly didn't help that I was full of liquid and haven't eaten dinner. Knowing I was tight on time, I prepared myself for the run once the plane parked, taking off my hoodie and button down shirt, and clipping my chest and waist straps.
But I did arrive to an odd compliment from the attendant that scanned my ticket. He said he was surprised that I was Platinum (status) and I certainly didn't look the part. He then continued to say I looked normal and he liked that.

Some plane induced thoughts:
I don't understand why people favor aisle seats. I'm a window-type myself. The benefits include something to lean on to sleep and a great view while in the air.
Why is "deplane" a verb while "plane" is not?
Pro tip: No matter where you are going, dress like you do for cool weather. I see people in shorts and a t-shirt and I just don't understand how they deal with it. Also, dress in something you can walk fast or run in.
Chicago O'Hare alway seems to have extremely long taxi times.
I'm either really out of shape or the altitude got to me as my movies-like run to my connecting gate was most likely very mediocre. (more to come about my health and my trip)
I've seen so many people run at airports but never expected to do it myself. This was my first experience and I must learn how to quickly hail a cart...
Don't travel with me unless you are my good luck charm or you really want delays and cancellations.
