Vacation Finale

After an excellent day of vacation yesterday (including getting the great fortune cookie shown above), I had to drive back home to Fort Wayne, Indiana. What better way to reflect on how great the trip was for the past week or so than a 12 hour (over 12 sometimes) drive? And to add to it, I decided to do it at 4 AM. Before you decide to give me a reputation of being crazy (if you have haven't already), let me explain my reasoning.
First, since it is Labor Day, I wanted to enjoy the holiday a bit so I had to start pretty early in the day. 4 AM wasn't too early since I slept before 1, which is plenty for me. The early start also allowed me to beat any traffic I could have encountered in the Northeast. But most importantly, since the drive is over 12 hours (usually), the early start allows me to see the sunrise giving me another "boost" of energy from the otherwise very tedious drive. I wish I had a picture of the sunrise behind me while I was in NY; it was simple amazing through my rear-view mirror.
After two quick stops (one including Micky D's), I was in Fort Wayne in less than 12 hours! Amazing job by Electra, she made it effortless and enjoyable, overcoming the attempts to ruin the day by bugs and bird poop. After dinner, I was ready for a well-deserved nap! Maybe it'll be an annual tradition to drive all-day Labor Day since I did it last year too. But I'll take life as it comes since life is so unpredictable.
Thank you to all my wonder family and friends for making my vacation incredible!
With that being said, I'll end with a photo I took in Beverly, MA:
