Veterans Day
Every year on November 11, the United States of America and its citizen honor those veterans who served in our armed forces. Other parts of the world celebrate Remembrance Day and Armistice Day on the same day.
This day is especially unique at my workplace since many of the employees have served in the military. Even through the difficult times, volunteers (many veterans themselves) step up and help honor the veterans that have fought for the freedom and liberty that we have the pleasure of having daily. It's great to hear the eventful stories that the veterans had to tell. Even more amusing was when they looked at photos of them when they were on active duty; sometimes they were unrecognizable, others were exactly how you would expect.
I have the privilege working along side numerous veterans every day. I have so much respect for what they have done in the past and their continued support for the military. These veterans know first hand how important the products are for the military in the field and provide the greatest insight. I have tremendous respect for veterans and their courage. We can learn so much from our veterans including but not limited to respect, responsibility, humbleness, courage, humor, and genuine love for life.
