Washington DC 2015
Last week I had the opportunity to visit our nation's capital, Washington DC, again. Last time I was alone; this time I had wonderful company for my entire trip.
Once again, I'm lost for words on the sensation that is given off by the area. Maybe all the hype of the power and prestige of the city has really been built by my obsession of The West Wing. If you haven't been to the National Mall at night, it's a must do!

For the museum and art lovers, Washington DC may be one of the best places to visit as it is filled with them throughout the city. My personal favorites? Air and Space, National Archives (The Constitution, Bill of Rights, Declaration of Independence are in the Rotunda), Holocaust Memorial Museum (It was my first time visiting, it was very emotional/powerful)
The Capitol tour was okay. Personally I would have liked the tour to have been more informative (our tour guide was very new). Unfortunately they were preparing for the Pope visit, so we didn't get to see the National Statuary Hall...
But a pro-tip for the Capitol tour is to schedule it with one of your Congressional Representatives. It saves time and you could possibly ride the Capitol subway!
In terms of food, all I have to say is Captain Cookie & the Milkman; the cookie ice cream sandwiches are amazing. Rasika was excellent (probably the best Indian food I've ever had); though reservations are mandatory.
