Week 2: Fort Wayne Kekiongas

The Fort Wayne Kekiongas had their first "home" game yesterday after winning a close match up last week 3-2. We had two new members to the team; one was to be my doubles partner. It's always fun to play with someone I just met immediately before the match; it was a good start when we broke serve. They broke without hesitation. The first set went to Team Kekiongas after winning a close tiebreaker. The match seemed to be all over when it was 5-3 in the second set but the opponent came back to win the next 3 games. The Kekiongas recovered by winning the next game but lost the second set tiebreaker.
Just like last week, I was in a third set super tiebreaker. I was determined to not lose two consecutive matches in a similar fashion so I send a return winner to start it. Then I served two winning points; eventually we were up 5-0. The opponent fought back just like in the previous two sets but it wasn't enough to defeat the Kekiongas' momentum; the super tiebreaker ended at 10-5.
With the my first win in doubles and first of the year, the Fort Wayne Kekiongas pull in another close match, winning 3-2 again, remaining undefeated!
It's much more enjoyable to play friendlier opponents; it was definitely more delightful this week (winning was just the cherry on top).
Congrats to my roommates for winning their golf match yesterday!
Now to fuel up on Banh Mi and win a few volleyball games!
