What Did You Want to Be When You Were Growing Up?
With the 2016 Presidential Election beginning today in Iowa, I thought about how many children say they want to be POTUS when they grow up. Then, most people start to realize how much stress and not enjoyable it is to be the leader of the free world.
For me, when I was about five or so, I wanted to be a garbage man. Not because they are hard working honest workers, but because my logic was they only worked once a week. I thought this because Wednesday was garbage day and the others were not. So as a toddler, you can only assume they worked only one day a week.
Then, I matured and my aspirations evolved into different careers. Unlike the majority of people, my ambitions of becoming POTUS has grown over the years. There is no greater honor than to be in that position to serve the people of the United States and serving the government in one of the highest capacities. There are major obstacles that we will have to deal with in our lifetime, as a country: Education, Privacy, Transition to Alternative Energy/Future Infrastructure, Health Care Costs, Poverty/Inequality, Space Exploration
