Where Everybody Knows Your Name

Making your way in the world today takes everything you've got.
Taking a break from all your worries, sure would help a lot.
Wouldn't you like to get away?
Sometimes you want to go where everybody knows your name,
and they're always glad you came.
You want to be where you can see, our troubles are all the same.
You want to be where everybody knows your name.
You want to go where people know people are all the same.
You want to go where everybody knows your name.
Those words are from one of the most recognizable television introduction ever; the words are still very relevant in the present day. Some people go to Starbucks, some go to restaurants, and similarly to Cheers, some go to bars. Back in Rhode Island, Walt's Roast Beef on Reservoir knew my name and order for a couple of years (King's Deluxe with onion rings). And in the past couple of months, we have become regulars at what is probably my favorite place in Fort Wayne, Dash-In. The beer selection is great (I feel sorry to the people that can't get Three Floyds, Bell's, and New Belgium beer. Cough**East Coast Peeps**Cough) and the Duck Burger (when it is available) is to die for! It is no surprise that it has been in business for over 20 years. The atmosphere is relaxing with great selection of music in the background while allowing great conversation to occur.
The waitresses are the very friendly and are truly awesome. I even learned the reasoning why so many bars here are 21 and over from one of the great waitresses; There is a law in Indiana where minors can't walk past a beer tap (So, there must be an exit to a family room where you don't pass a beer tap in order to allow people under 21 into the place). So if you ever stop by good ole' Fort Wayne, IN, be sure to stop by the Dash-In!!!
What's your version of Cheers?!
